DoPT accorded permission for six months towards continuation of ad hoc promotion to HSG I cadre

Sub:- Continuation of ad hoc promotions made in the cadre of HSG - I

During my visit to the Directorate on 21st May 2008, I was informed by the DDG(P) that it has been decided with the approval of Department of Personnel & Training to continue the said ad hoc arrangement beyond 19th May 2008 for a further period of six months.

I urged him to instruct the Circles A.P & T. N to convene DPCs for promotion to HSG II cadre to be convened without further delay and pointed out the irregularities committed by them. He had also agreed with my view on this subject and told that action is being taken in this regard.

I also pointed out that all unfilled HSG II posts should be filled up by adhoc promotion and I hope orders would be issued shortly. I shall be pursuing.
