6th Pay Commission recommendations - Govt. accepted.

The Cabinet today approved the sixth pay commission recommendations. This will be implemented from 1.1.2006. 40% of arrears in cash will be paid this year. Balance 60% will be paid in cash next year. The minimum pay is fixed now Rs.7000/- per month and a Gr.D will now get Rs.11,000/- as wages per month. Other details are awaited.
