60 days bonus is declared and orders issued yesterday by the Postal Department. The ceililng is also not revised to Rs.3500/-. Hence payment will be made on the basis of the old ceililng of Rs.2500.

Is it true that the Govt.is seriously considering enhancement of ceiling to Rs 3500- to only railways?And why this cap of 60 days to Postal employees alone? NFPE has right earnestly taken up the matter with both the MOI & C and Sec.,DOP on the possible discrmination and recalled the sponteneous indefinite strike in 1996 over such a discrimination.What we are doing? Should we not raise our voice and convey the strong resentment among the employees? Please take up the issue with the Federation for some strong action-Muralidharan,Erode

i agree with muralidharan comment,the ground work is going to enhance the ceiling to Rs.3500/- to railways in a cabinet meeting going to be held on 03/10/08.what is the trade union action going to be taken by your side?first i would like to know whether the news is right or wrong?if it is correct is there any followup action to enhance the ceiling to postal workers?please share the feelings and tell the actual position.it is your primary responsiblity as a general secretary.and make the blog very interestingly. and use it as plat farm to share the feelings and as a communication channel between you and workers.though i am a national union member i appreciate nfpe blog in this regard.its not a difficult thing to do so.its a matter of one hour a day.thank you
