Reactions to this vote-on-account have been adverse. This is because people treated this as a budget and had unrealistic expectations, each lobbying for fiscal concessions. The Govt. is within the boundaries of what an outgoing government should do on a vote-on-account.
Rs. 620 crores is allotted to the Department of Posts towards modernization programme. The Finance Minister said that "Project Arrow" programme will receive govt. support to provide technology enabled services and the NREGS for a delivery system.
