The GDS are a demoralised lot now.How long one can bear the step-motherly treatment to a work force of about 3 lakhs? The Postal JCA should have gone for some direct action instead of all those demonstrations, march to Raj Bhavan, relay Dharna etc.by giving 15 days notice for an indefinite strike and better utilised the period for mobilising the rank and file. Now we have precious days lost and even if we decide on direct action on the meeting scheduled on 21/09/2009,we would have to give another 15 days' notice, and that means it would be only in the first or second week of october.
It's a pity that the Hon MOC & IT found no time to attend the cabinet meeting where a crucial decision relating to his Ministry is on agenda.
Instead of the word pity I would like to use the word shameful for the 2 major Unions who have failed to persuade the Hon MOC & IT to attend the Crucial Cabinet Meeting.
Direct industrial action was planned wef 16.9.09, then from 17.09.09 and now after (15 days) the meeting of 21.09.09.
It is really shameful for the Trade Unions leaders who fights for the foreign tours.
The NUPE Group-C was formed by Late Sri K.Ramamurti in 1968 then D.Kishan Rao was the General Secretary and now Vasireddy Sivaji is the present General Secretary
