Releief to AAOs in Tamil Nadu Circle

6 NAPE Group-C February 11, 2010

The Circle Secretary, NAPE-Gr.C., Tamil Nadu Circle informed over phone today morning that CPMG, T.N Circle is not issuing orders for the relief of AAOs in spite of Directorate’s order.

I contacted the concerned officers immediately and they informed that order is being issued to day for their relief.

Thank you Sir for your effective steps taken with Tamilnadu Postal Administration. We, many JAO passed PAs and Fast Track officials were upset about the bankruptcy of local leaders to tackle the issue. We acknowledge your sincerity in talking to the concerned officers through phone to end the drama and to relieve us. Apart from Unions we record our gratitude for your honest Union action. Keep it up.

thanks mr venugopal,sa,waltair rs HO for your sincere efforts to awaken the sleeping leadership(actually they are not sleeping but they pretend)for resolving the glaring anomaly and injustice done to the postal assistants.the fire of discontent is spreading.unless we,pas,start a propaganda,the leaders will simply publish minutes of meetings and do nothing else.

At least in the 2nd meeting of the anomaly committee,the union leaders should take up the issue of the anomaly in the grade pay of postal assistants.the recruitment rules for pas by dept of personnel may be quoted.if in the meeting, the official side is of the opinion that this does not come under the purview of anomalies of 6th cpc,the issue may be discussed outside as assured in many other cases.but the attempt should be there.

If the recruitment rules of the postal assistants by dept of personnel envisage that the pay scale of a postman should be less than or equal to the entry pay of a postal assistant,then why the union leadership is not interested in going to action to maintain the status of the PAs?Most of the PAs simply do their work and keep silence.Usually they dont question their union leaders.I think this silence is being exploited.

Many PAs have a feeling that they are very well paid now.Exploiting this feeling,somebody with vested interests are tactically diverting the attention of PAs from the issue of the glaring anomaly in the pay of PAs including the disturbed relativities.
