PROBLEM

I request that an item regarding De-quaterisation of Quarters attached to SPMs may kindly be taken into consideration in the JCM meeting to be held on 27-08-2010.
In this connection, it is to intimate that most of the Post attached quarters are not being maintained properly and the officials are being forced to occupy even though the condition of the quarter does not permit.
In this regard I want to give an example of SANATH NAGAR IE PO, HYDERABAD-500 018 under Hyderabad City Divn. The quarter was vacant from the year 2003 to 2006 since the post vacant. During the above period the SPM quaters was not at all maintained and used for the dumping of old records. After joining of a new SPM in the year 2006 the SPM was also not occupied the quarters because of the worst condition. Above all the Post office is situated in Industrial Area and as per the AP Pollution control Board the bore water is not recommended for use as the water mixed with chemicals and also contaminated. During night times there is no security to live a family in that quarter since the post office is located away from residential area. Now the present SPM is forcibly occupied and because he was single he is able to continue in it. His family is at Bodhan, Nizamabad dt. It is very difficult for family with ladies and girl children to maintain in that quarter. The Air is also polluted and during night times the chemical smell is coming. The dept has under taken some repairs during 2008 and the office of EE, Civil wing has worked for some months. After that the office has also been shifted to some other locatity because of the above said problems. If an office can not perform in that quarter how can a family will be maintained.Now the dept is saying that some repairs have been done and it is not possible to De-quarterise.
In view of the above I request all the three unions to kindly look into the matter sympathetically and try for De-quarterisation of the above Post office quarter. I also request not only the above said quarter but also similar type of quarters deserves De-quarterisation. I want to suggest that officails may be given option to occupy the quarters, because most of the city people have settled with their families in one area can not shift because of quarters due to children studies and other related problems.
I therefore earnestly request all the three union leaders to take up the matter sympathetically and do the justice to the officials.
I hope this matter will be definetly taken up in the JCM meeting.
