20 TH AIC AT GUNTUR
In the last Postal Sentinel it
was informed that the 20th AIC will be held at Bhadrachalam, Khammam
division, Andhra circle from17-02-13 to19-02-13. But keeping the distance from
the Railway line the Venue is changed. The change was notified in our website
on 16-10-2012.
The All India conference of
NUPE,Group C will be held at Guntur from 10th to 12th January 2013 at Guntur, Andhra Circle. The venue of
the conference is Nagarjuna University campus which is located in Between
Vijayawada and Guntur towns on the NH5.The distance from Vijayawada is 18 Km
and from Guntur 15 KMs The Railway
Station Codes BZA &GNT. Start making the reservations. The notice of the
conference will be issued shortly and will be printed in the sentinel for
November 13.The reception committee will issue detailed pamphlet in this regard
to the branches. Watch our website regularly for the updating of information.
The delegates will be admitted in
the AIC on the basis of quota remittance for the period from 01-04-2010 to
31-03-2011 and 01-04-2011 to 31-03-2012 in accordance with clause 16 & 33
of the constitution of the Union. The quota statement is being dispatched to
the Circles shortly.
Large number of branches have not
remitted quota after April 2012.As per clause 33(b) of the constitution, a
branch union which does not remit quota of subscription according to the
allocation to the CHQ and Circle union consequently for three months shall be
deemed to be a defaulter and will not be admitted in the AIC unless the arrears
are cleared.
The branches are advised to
intimate the no of delegates and visitors attending the AIC well in advance to
the reception committee to make arrangements. The Reception committee appealed
for advertisements to souvenir and donations and the receipt books dispatched to
the Circle Secretaries. The branches are requested to help the reception committee as it is
very costly to hold the conference
We shall be conferring when the
Department is heading for total reforms and the National Postal policy is
announced .the details of the policy were printed in the last sentinels. The
analysis was also printed. The department is heading towards corporatization
and privatization. We have to evolve Road Map for the job security and
formulate our strategies and demands. We are looking forward for discussions,
deliberations at the branch level and guiding the conference. We are looking
forward to a return from Andhra Pradesh with hands laden with destiny.
