National Association of Postal Employees, Group-C AP organized a seminar for Defence Assistants(AGS) from 6.12.2021 to 7.12.2021 at Hotel Golden Way, Vijayawa, AP. Nowadays there is huge shortage of Defence Assistants (AGS) to safeguard our colleagues who knowingly or unknowingly become accused and facing departmental proceedings. During this seminar an over review held on CCS(Conduct) Rules 1964, CCS (CCA) Rules,1965, Role of Defence assistant, Role of Inquiry Authority and Presenting Officer, Principles of Natural Justice, Constitutional safeguards, Disciplinary Proceedings, Suspension, Charge sheet, Penalties, Appeal, review/revision, and Legal remidies ..topics were covered by Sri E.Veerabhadrarao (EVRao), IPoS ( Retd. Director of Postal Services, Vijayawada), Sri B.Gurudas IPoS, Sr Advocate CAT Hyderabad, Sri D.Kishanrao, Ex SG FNPO and GS NAPEc who are having well knowledge and lot of experience. A question and answer session also held and there is a good response from the participants.
Sri Sivaji Vasireddy, General secretary, NAPEc shared practical strategies for Defence Assistants. He also covered the topic "Sexual harrasment of women at work place (prevention, prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013. Sri Krishnamurthy Sr leader explained the stages of inquiry in detailed. Sri Ch.Lakshminarayana Deputy CS NUPE PM & MTS AP Circle explained about RTI Act 2005 and GDS disciplinary proceedings. A small felicitation arranged to all faculty and to Sri KVRAO Ex CS AP Circle.
